ABOUT US

We are a team of specialists with over 20 years of experience in the design, sale, installation, and configuration of home theater systems, multiroom setups, private cinema rooms, and ambient sound systems for restaurants and shopping centers. This experience now allows us to design, plan, and manufacture high-quality acoustic enclosures for speakers embedded in ceilings or walls.

ADVANTAGES

Without acoustic enclosures, an in-wall or in-ceiling speaker plays into the empty cavity of the wall or ceiling, causing the sound to echo, vibrate, or lose bass. With an enclosure, the sound is formed correctly—just as the manufacturer intended. Some manufacturers even specify recommended enclosure volumes for each speaker to achieve the best and most balanced frequency response from your system.

Advantages of using acoustic enclosures:

- The acoustic volume created by the enclosure significantly improves the quality and detail of the sound; the bass becomes deep and rich.

- The enclosures use polymer materials (anti-vibration adhesive, polyurethane foam) to absorb and diffuse the rear waves of the speaker. This enhances acoustic insulation, reduces wall and ceiling vibrations, and cleans the sound of unwanted noise.

- The enclosure body reliably protects the built-in speaker from dust and moisture.

- Convenience and quality of installation: no splinters or cracks in the plasterboard ceiling when installing the speakers.

Personal cinema

For private cinema rooms, we use robust and solid acoustic enclosures with wall thicknesses greater than 18 mm (depending on the in-wall speaker model) and a specialized polymer coating.

Home cinema

For the built-in speakers in the home theater system we use specialized MDF boxes with a wall thickness of 16 mm and an inner filling of self-extinguishing foam acoustic absorbent panel.

Multiroom

For different multiroom systems, economical 12 mm MDF enclosures can be used, with or without an acoustic absorbing panel made of self-extinguishing foam, depending on your speaker model.

Phono sound

In cafés, restaurants, shopping centers, and other commercial spaces, we offer a special series of budget-friendly acoustic enclosures with reduced wall thickness and no acoustic insulation layer.

SPA and sauna

In spa and sauna areas, it is especially important to have clean, high-quality sound so you can relax and unwind. Speakers that produce squeaky noises and are installed without an acoustic enclosure can ruin your relaxation experience.

PRODUCTION

To begin with, the enclosure is designed based on the model of the acoustic system and the customer's ceiling structure. The first thing you need to know to place the order is for which specific model of speaker the box is to be installed. According to the manufacturer's recommendations (and, if it does not exist, based on the dimensions and parameters of the midrange/bass speaker), we determine the necessary volume of the loudspeaker and the diameter of the mounting hole (or the measurements of the square/rectangle in the case of models with that shape). Then, taking into account your indications about the depth of the ceiling (which is usually the limiting factor of the volume of the cabinet), we calculate the complete dimensions of the loudspeaker: height, width and depth. After sending you the drawing with the dimensions for approval, we proceed to manufacturing. In a very short time (5-7 days) we manufacture the loudspeaker in MDF of the selected thickness (depending on the model), assemble it with a specialized anti-vibration adhesive and internally coat it with polyurethane wadding. Optionally, you can purchase a specialized anti-vibration fastening system (metal brackets with a layer of anti-vibration adhesive tape).

Step 1. Selection of in-wall/in-ceiling speakers

Have you already purchased in-wall or in-ceiling speakers, or are you just considering it? If you already have them — excellent! If not, let us know, and we will advise you on the models available on the market and help you choose the speakers that best fit your space.

Step 2. Calculation of the dimensions and model of the acoustic enclosure

We will calculate the dimensions of the loudspeaker for you taking into account the characteristics of your ceiling, as well as taking into account the recommendations of the manufacturer of the acoustics. In the end you get a document with the full dimensions and characteristics of the future box.

Step 3. Production in carpentry

First, on the CNC machine, the robot cuts the necessary panels according to the requested dimensions for the box. Then, cut the hole for the speaker systemFinally, all the walls are sanded down to obtain a perfectly smooth surface for the next stage of assembly.

Step 4. Gluing and fastening the walls of the enclosure

Then, the walls of the enclosure are securely assembled. To reduce vibrations of the speaker system inside the enclosure, we use a specialized acoustic adhesive with anti-vibration properties. Larger and heavier enclosures are additionally reinforced with staples and nails.

Step 5. Filling the acoustic enclosure with acoustic material

Depending on the quality and model of the acoustic enclosure, we line it with specialized acoustic materials so that the enclosure absorbs unwanted vibrations and additional noise behind the ceiling. We use exclusively eco-friendly materials in the manufacturing process.

Step 6. Assembly, engraving, quality control

At the final assembly stage of the acoustic enclosure, we recheck the quality of manufacturing and also engrave the dimensions and parameters of the acoustic enclosure on the front surface.

Step 7. Installation of the acoustic enclosure in the wall or ceiling

Afterwards, the finished enclosure can be delivered to the builders for subsequent installation. We will explain to you or your builders how to correctly install the acoustic enclosure (it is not complicated if certain rules are followed). Additionally, you can order a specialized anti-vibration mounting system from us to reduce vibrations of the ceiling structure, which contributes to the overall sound quality of the system.

Step 8. Enjoy high-quality sound from the integrated speakers

Often, the cost of an acoustic enclosure is 2, 3, 5, or even 10 times lower than that of the built-in speaker itself. However, a properly installed enclosure can significantly improve the final sound quality, making it cleaner and more transparent, while enhancing and deepening the bass. Your speakers will sound as if they were much more expensive compared to installing them directly in an empty ceiling.

Without speaker enclosure

In the first graph, the frequency response (FR) of an in-wall speaker system installed without a speaker enclosure is shown. In the graph (yellow), there is a noticeable drop in the low frequencies in the 50–300 Hz range, as well as a pronounced increase in the high frequencies from 2.5 to 10 kHz. This strong FR irregularity occurs because the speaker operates in the free volume of the ceiling; as a result, the bass sounds weak and loose, while the mid-high and high frequencies are excessively emphasized.

With speaker enclosure without insulation

In the second graph (light green), the speaker system is placed in the simplest and thinnest MDF enclosure without acoustic insulation (BoxAudio M Light). There is already an improvement in frequency linearity in the 50–300 Hz range (the bass sounds denser and more defined to the ear), as well as a slight leveling of the mid and high frequencies (although they still peak by more than 10 dB).

With speaker enclosure with insulation

In the third graph (dark green), the speaker system is installed in a speaker enclosure (BoxAudio M) with a layer of insulating foam. It is clearly seen that the FR of the same speaker with the enclosure becomes much more uniform, with irregularities of around 5 dB.
